Covid-19 Update
We are shipping as normal. However, the shipping companies have been experiencing a lot of transit delays under the current situations. At this point it is not uncommon for shipments to be "stuck" for several days. Please understand and expect this right now. In virtually all cases, the shipments are arriving as expected, but many are taking longer than any of us are used to.

This sparring and training Langes Messer from the Red Dragon Proline Xtreme range is crafted from high-impact polymer making it both robust and safe for extensive drills and contact sparring (with appropriate protection). It is designed by practitioners of the HEMA community and approved by Dave Rawlings and the Boars Tooth Fight School. The blade has a wide and blunted tip to make thrusting techniques safer and the last third of the blade is designed to be flexible. The Messer guard has a nagel with each point of the guard is capped with a sphere for safety. The guard can be easily removed and switched around to allow for the conversion of this sword from right or left-handed use and back again with ease. The grip is rubber which both insulates the hand from shock as well as providing a secure grip. The hilt assembly can be unscrewed as needed to allow for all its components to be broken down for easier transportation or storage.

A staple of the German fighting manuscripts, the Messer was a popular weapon of its time and considered worthy of in-depth study and development of technique by fighting masters and can be prominently seen in the manual by Johannes Lecküchner, the Codex Wallerstein and the works of Albrecht Dürer
